Pork and Lamb
This rich pork belly is a decadent trip to the Far East. We use ginger and sesame oil in addition to our vinegar-based Sweet & Tangy sauce to infuse flavor into the pork.

Ingredients
2 lbs Pork Belly, diced into 2”chunks
2 Tbsp Sauce Goddess Sweet Heat
1 jar Sauce Goddess Sweet & Tangy Marinade
- 2 Tbsp Dry Ginger
- 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil (light olive oil, avocado oil)
Directions
Preheat oven to 300°.
- Note this recipe can also be done in a slow cooker.
- Sprinkle Sweet Heat on pork belly.
- Set aside.
Combine Sauce Goddess Sweet & Tangy sauce, sesame oil and ginger in a 2 cup measuring bowl.
- Stir to combine.
- In a large shallow oven-safe pan, brown all pieces of pork belly.
- Pour 1/2 cup of the sauce over the pieces of pork.
Cover and place in a 300° oven.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and baste with sauce in the pan. Fat should be visible now on top of the sauce.
- Cover and return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Remove the meat from the pan and pour off the fat and sauce. This is waste but it needs to cool before you can throw it in the trash.
- Return the meat to the pan, add 1 cup of sauce and coat all the pieces.
- Bake for 15 minutes with the lid off.
- Baste again and return to the oven.
- Bake for the final 15 mintues, this step will brown the tops.
- Add remaining fresh sauce and heat throughout.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
